More Accessories from Shinza 9 June 2003 by Noah Kravitz Columnist
The last batch of PowerBook goodies that Shinza.com sent was too big to fit in one review. Here's a look at two more
gadgets that are worth a look if you just can't get enough cool computer accessories from Japan:
TiBook Sleeve Slipcase

Constructed from padded, water resistant nylon, this is a simple, sleek sleeve for your Titanium PowerBook G4 that will keep it
safe when tossed into a bag or backpack along with your Calculus textbooks, slide rules, and pocket protectors (or whatever you haul
around all day). The sleeve is a good alternative to the standard notebook case for people like me who feel the need to bring half
their worldly posessions everywhere they go, and therefore need something larger than a laptop bag. Throwing my naked TiBook would be
asking for scratches, dents, and other troubles, so a sleeve comes in handy. This one is amply padded, made from shiny black nylon, and
features two pockets on the back for CDs, DVDs, or particularly small Calculus textbooks (or software manuals). The velcro flap
closure is simple and stylish, though a zipper closure would have afforded that extra bit of protection we'd all like to have for our
$2,000 laptops. The Sleeve sells for $24.95.
Translucent Graphite Firewire Cable

Hey, some people have to have everything. And this is cool. But really, when it comes down to it, it's a Firewire cable. It works
as well as every other firewire cable I've ever tried -- no better, no worse. It's housed in a neat-looking translucent graphite
plastic casing, is of the 6-pin to 6-pin IEEE 1394 ilk, and runs for 3 meters (9.8 feet). And it costs $16.95. A 1-meter version
is two dollars cheaper, but of course, is also two meters shorter.
