Mobility's EasiExpansion product family offers an inexpensive PCI and drive expansion solution for PowerBooks with FireWire capability. Gain 3 or 4 full-length PCI expansion slots for PCI controller cards such as SCSI, FireWire, video, and USB. An additional 5 drive bays allows easy installation of CD-ROM, CD-RW, DVD, Zip and other drives. Mobility's Split Bridge technology allows all installed drives and PCI expansion cards to perform "as fast as if they were actually in your Mac".

The EasiExpansion T45 PowerBook - Expansion base is available at MacZone for $399.99. The T35 model, with 3 expansion slots, is available for $249.99.
