Four days after I dropped it off, the Apple Store in Walnut Creek, CA called to tell me my MacBook was fixed and ready to be picked up. Great news. I drove out there with my wife and ran in to get it while she looked for a parking spot. I hadn't realized how annoyed I was at the whole experience until the kid who helped me at the front desk said, "It'll be down in a few minutes ... assuming they can find it up there."
