QuickerTek introduced a $50 padded handle for the 17" MacBook Pro today. According to their press release, the handle "is complete with all hardware and required tools. From Apple's support site today: "Apple has initiated a worldwide battery exchange program for certain rechargeable batteries that were sold for use with 15-inch MacBook Pro computer systems from February 2006 through May 2006. We recently discovered that some 15-inch MacBook Pro batteries supplied to Apple do not meet our high standards for battery performance. To give our users the best experience possible, we will replace these batteries for customers free of charge. The affected batteries have model number A1175 and a 12-digit serial number that ends with U7SA, U7SB or U7SC." More information can be found on Apple's Exchange Program site.

The Macintosh has always been regarded, often to the point of stereotyping, as a “graphics computer,” so it’s not surprising that the available selection of image creation, editing, and manipulation applications for Mac OS X is gratifyingly deep and rich.
Personally, my interest in computer graphics has always been strongly weighted toward the bitmap (“painting”) end of the spectrum rather than vector (“drawing”) graphics, so while the two technologies are complimentary and have their respective advantages and practical uses, I am not really qualified to evaluate vector graphic graphics programs.
