Apple refreshes 13-MacBooks with new models

Apple released midly refreshed 13-MacBooks today with Intel Core 2 Duo CPUs ranging up to 2.16GHz. The new models come in three configurations, as before, with a low-end 2.0GHz White model for $1099, and two higher-end 2.16GHz MacBooks for $1299 (White) and $1499 (Black).

The low-end White MacBook now sports 1GB of standard RAM and an 80GB hard drive, in addition to a 2GHz Intel Core 2 Duo CPU with performance-enhancing 4MB of shared L2 cache. It's available today for $1099 at The Apple Store.

The high-end Black and White MacBooks gain a 2.16GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor with 4MB of shared L2 cache and a new 8x SuperDrive. The White model has a new 120GB hard drive, while the Black MacBook comes with a standard 160GB hard drive. The 2.16GHz White MacBook is available today at The Apple Store for $1299, while the Black model lists for $1499.

All three models include built-in 802.11n wireless capability.
