PowerBook Buyer's Guide PowerBook 165 by Steve Hildreth The 165 was the first 33 MHz PowerBook. It was about 25% faster than its predecessors. This machine is fast enough to run all but the most modern software, assuming that there is enough memory and hard drive space. Otherwise, it is nearly identical to the 160, including the 4-bit 16-level grayscale display. This machine can be stretched a long ways, especially when using system software 7.1.
